Welcome to the sonic world of ORYME
Most releases of music come with a story, this next release comes with story and a HISTORY. That history goes back to the late 1980's. ORYME (previously known as RYM) was formed in the early 80's. As we got into the late 80's, our music was coalescing into a definitive and unique progressive synth wave identity as we wrote 10 original tracks that reflected our progressive tastes while still conveying memorable hooks and entertaining themes. We were leveraging our multiple instrument skillsets and technical knowledge as we became pioneering minstrels in the dawn of MIDI and home based recording. We composed 10 tracks that make up the first Album: Edge of the Circle. This release was recorded on a TASCAM 244 4-track cassette recorder, long before DAWs existed. And now, here in 2026, we are ready and eager to release this 80's music creation into the Digital world of streaming audio for new and old generations of listeners.

Chuck Moyer - keyboards, bass, drum programming
We are also planning within the next year to re-record, re-work and release new versions of these special "80's progressive synth wave time pieces" as a statement and reflection of our current level of musical evolution and hope to make these classics new again.

The stunning cover art beautifully captures the core theme of the music: two distinct figures [which is Jon and which is Chuck ?], perched at the very brink of a swirling, cosmic vortex. with sheets of music—the blueprint of the universe itself—we gaze out into a kaleidoscope of nebulae and star systems trapped within the Edge of the Circle.
